WHAT WE BELIEVE
Our Vision
To know and experience God in a Christian community of love and faith
Our Mission
Christ’s Community Church exists to worship and glorify God, to bring people into a relationship with Jesus and His church, to develop them to Christ-like maturity, and to equip them to serve the church and the world.
Our Denomination
Christ’s Community Church is part of the Christian Reformed Church denomination. For more information of the theological doctrine of the Christian Reformed Church, follow this link: crcna.org.
The Bible is the Word of God
We believe that the Bible is God’s Word to us. Human authors wrote it under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. It is the finally authority in matters of faith and how we live our lives.
God is eternal and three-in-one
We believe that here is only one true God. He has always existed in three persons, each equal and distinct: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. They work together in perfect harmony.
Sin has separated us from God
We believe that sin, falling short of God’s perfection, has separated each of us from God and his purpose for our lives.
Jesus reconciles us to God
We believe that Jesus is fully God and fully human. He lived a sinless life, died on the cross in our place, came back to life, and ascended to heaven. He is the only one who can reconcile us to God.
We are saved by grace
We believe that we cannot save ourselves. Through God’s generous favor, we accept what Jesus has done for us, and receive the offer of salvation by placing our faith and trust in him.
Our lives have a purpose
We believe that we gratefully respond to God’s grace by living our lives for him. We believe that he has a plan and purpose for each of our lives and enables us to serve him and others while growing in love, maturity and relationships.
The church is important
We believe that Jesus established and is building his worldwide church. It is God’s plan for his people to meet regularly for worship, to study the Bible, for community, service, and to be a witness to others.
We will exist eternally
We believe that each person will exist eternally. For those who have true faith in Jesus, they will live with God. For those who do not, they will be separate from him.
Jesus will return
We believe that Jesus will return to the earth for the final judgment, to end sin, and to make all things new.
