Women’s Coffee Break

All ladies invited to Coffeebreak Bible study on Wednesdays, from 10:00 – 11:00 AM.   This group is currently participating in a nine session dvd study 1 Peter, A Living Hope in Christ, by Jen Wilkin.  Our inheritance through Christ is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading. In 1 Peter, a man of faith and flaws and eyewitness to the life of Christ challenges us to look beyond our current circumstances to a future inheritance. He shares his concerns on big picture issues for the early church, describes believers’ true identity in Christ, and ultimately helps readers discover what it means to experience the Living Hope they have in Christ. Key themes of humility, submission, and identity in Christ guide this study of 1 Peter as participants are challenged to read the book in its entirety each week. Coffeebreak meets from September through May of each year.  They do multiple studies throughout the year.

Monday Night Women’s Bible Study

This women’s Bible study is studying Fierce, Women of the Bible Who Changed the World. Can we be Fierce?   Pastor and author, Jennifer Cowart’s answer is “absolutely”!  In this study she leads participants in an exploration of lesser-known female characters in the Bible and the ways they changed the world by living into God’s calling, including women such as Shiphrah, and Puah, Deborah, Naaman’s slave girl, the Samaritan woman, Dorcas, Lois, and Eunice.  In exploring their lives, we will discover how we too, can live  into our callings, honor the Lord, and even change the world through our fierce courage, faithfulness, and obedience.  This group meets the first and third Mondays of each month from 6:30 – 8:00 PM in the social hall.
